Haha! Reminds me of the last aftershow at the O2....the man came out at 1.30am and did two encores to 4.00am. Everyone thought that was it, but me and the guy next to me had a sneaky suspicion he was going to come back out, again! And sure enough, he came out one more time and did another 35mins, kicking off with Partyman. Absolute heaven!

Yes it is Shane! An hour after he phoned me to say he was in, he phoned again saying the band had left the stage, the lights were out and the bar closed. So he's standing there talking to me on the phone telling me all about it and then he shouted "they're coming back on"! So I terminated the call and then I got a text saying "fucking Bambi!!!!!"

Tony said the atmosphere in there is incredible, the best he's ever seen, even better than Indigo2 on 21st September 2007. He said it's the best. After 7 years absence (apart from Hop Farm) people are clearly hungry for some Prince and this is reflected in the atmosphere and the crowd that are there tonight.

That final after show was outstanding. Couldn't believe how late it was when we left.

Was great to see Amy and Prince together too. Although a bit strange to start with when she was singing from behind the curtain.

As we're not in Camden tonight let's reminisce about that night!

So here's what I heard in the queue earlier, talking to someone who said he worked for an "iconic" venue - but wouldn't say which one (I guess the Purple Police had really got to him...)

He said he'd known about the gigs for six months; that various venues around London had been asked to "tender" for them; that last night's gig (the soundcheck) was originally going to be at another venue; that Prince is here for 28 days and will play gigs at a number of venues; that all the ones he'd heard mentioned as possibilities are really small - 1,500 capacity tops - but some much smaller, like Ronnie Scott's and the 606 Club. The largest was the Shepherd's Bush Empire... Don't know how much of this is true, but it all sounded plausible when he told me.

I don´t get it tbh.

What is this PR tour all about?

For promoting the new album? Why he plays the same songs he played a year ago and not the new ones from the album?

Why he plays infront of 1000 ppl for 10$ when he can play infront of 5k+ for 100$?

Why he gave a "press conference" with only 3 journalists attending giving them no real news at all?

Why isn´t there an announcement of a full UK tour ?

I guess there are no dates and they are just planning from day to day...

I know! Sun was coming up by the time I walked back to the Holiday Inn at around 5.30ish...was on such a high I barely slept and was up at 8.00 for breakfast, so a complete waste of time booking the hotel It was my first ever Prince aftershow but it was everything I dreamed of, and more!

Just phoned the Blues Kitchen and they said "Prince is coming here? Oh my God thats amazing". So that was the first she had heard about it.

i think this was an honest reaction. At first she told me "Keith and ..." are on stage tonight. When i said Prince she asked me to repeat a few times before she said "Oh My GOD !!!, that would be amazing." Then sounded so excited before she put the phone down. lol
